ŽILINA, hotel
Žilina is in northwest Slovakia with 97.000 inhabitants. The town originated at the beginning of the 13th century at the crossing of five important trade routes and immediately after its foundation was given the rights of a royal free town. It lost its privileges as a free, royal town, by rebelling against the emperor. A considerable part of its people joined the Slovak National Uprising. It is now the political, economic and cultural center of North Slovakia.
